Job summary

TeacherActive Ltd. is seeking an enthusiastic Early Years/Primary Teacher for a long-term role in Derby (DE21). The position focuses on delivering the EYFS curriculum, planning creative activities, and using AfL to monitor progress toward Learning Goals. A QTS and a nurturing, adaptive teaching style are essential.

The role offers on-site, full-time hours with PAYE payroll and market-leading pay rates, plus CPD opportunities and referral incentives.

Qualifications

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) required; applications welcomed from Early Career Teachers (ECTs).
Strong knowledge of the EYFS curriculum, Early Learning Goals and effective phonics teaching.
Understanding of continuous provision, creative play and how these can be used to develop purposeful learning.
Confidence using observations, AfL and scaffolding to identify and support children's next steps.
Knowledge of SEND and the ability to adapt teaching to meet a range of individual learning needs.
Creative, nurturing and enthusiastic approach to Early Years education. A driving licence would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver the EYFS curriculum and develop continuous provision.
Create learning opportunities through play and observation-based assessment for learning (AfL).
Support children’s progress and identify next steps to meet Early Learning Goals.
Adapt teaching to meet individual needs and support SEND learners.
