Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting an Early Years Teacher for a long-term role in Derby (DE21). You will deliver the EYFS curriculum, plan learning through play, and use observations to support progress.

The successful candidate will hold QTS or be an Early Career Teacher, have strong phonics knowledge, an understanding of SEND, and a creative, nurturing approach.

The role offers daily pay between £150 and £200, with market-leading rates and ongoing CPD through TeacherActive.

Qualifications

• QTS or ECT status required.
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and phonics.
• Experience using observations and Assessment for Learning (AfL).
• Understanding of SEND and adaptive teaching strategies.
• Creative, nurturing and enthusiastic approach to Early Years education.
• Driving licence would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver the EYFS curriculum in a reception/early years setting.
• Develop purposeful continuous provision and learning through play.
• Use observations and AfL to identify next steps and scaffold activities.
• Support progress and inclusion for all children.
