Job summary

About Early Years Ltd. is seeking an Early Years Teaching Assistant to join a Primary School in Lewisham, South East London. The role runs term-time only, full-time hours, 8:30am–3:45pm, with a Sept/Oct 2026 start and a salary of £100–£120 per day.

The successful candidate will work across Nursery and Reception, support with Phonics and reading/writing activities, and contribute to a safe, engaging learning environment. An EYFS background is essential.

Qualifications

• Hold a Level 2 or 3 CACHE Qualification in Childcare/ Supporting Teaching & Learning.
• Or hold a Level 6 or degree within childcare or education.
• Have an understanding of the EYFS curriculum.
• School-based experience ideally or experience within private nurseries.
• Enthusiasm about working in EYFS and with children.
• Work well as a team.
• Good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out phonics, spelling, reading and writing activities.
• Create a fun and engaging environment that’s safe.
• Assist with general classroom duties.
• Support mild SEN when needed.
• Provide 1:1 and group booster sessions.
• Work across Nursery & Reception in a school setting.
