Job summary

Harris Academy Beckenham is seeking a dedicated Teacher of Drama to join a committed staff team delivering engaging drama education to students.

The role requires QTS (or equivalent) and relevant undergraduate study, with successful secondary teaching experience and a strong grasp of KS3–KS5 expectations. ICT skills and a collaborative approach with parents and external partners are essential.

Qualifications

• Holds QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant undergraduate degree.
• Successful teaching experience at secondary level (can be teaching practice).
• Understanding of National Curriculum KS3, KS4 and ideally KS5, and of lesson planning, resources and assessment.
• Ability to work in a team and build positive relationships with staff, parents and external agencies.
• Excellent time management and ICT skills for innovative teaching.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality drama lessons to students across KS3/KS4 and possibly KS5.
• Develop resources, write lesson plans and assess student work.
• Lead and manage own workload effectively and communicate with parents.
