Job summary

Clarus Education is seeking a dynamic Deputy Nursery Manager for a leading nursery in Oxford. You will support the Nursery Manager, lead a team of Early Years practitioners and help deliver outstanding care and education.

Ideal candidates will have a Level 3 in Early Years Education and Childcare, strong leadership and safeguarding knowledge, and a proven track record in an EYFS setting. This full-time role offers a competitive salary and opportunities for progression.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 3 qualification in EY Education and Childcare.
• Significant experience in an early years setting.
• Senior/leadership or deputy experience desirable.
• Strong EYFS, safeguarding and Ofsted knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Support the Nursery Manager with the day-to-day running of the nursery.
• Lead, motivate and develop a team of Early Years practitioners.
• Ensure high standards of care, education and safeguarding are maintained at all times.
• Support the planning and delivery of an engaging EYFS curriculum.
• Monitor children’s learning, development and progress.
• Build strong, positive relationships with parents and carers.
• Support with recruitment, induction, supervision and staff training.
• Help maintain compliance with Ofsted requirements and nursery policies.
• Ensure effective health and safety, safeguarding and risk management procedures.
• Support with room planning, staffing rotas and daily operations.
• Act as a positive role model and promote a strong nursery culture.
• Deputise for the Nursery Manager when required.
