Job summary

Leisure People in Cheltenham is seeking a Deputy General Manager to lead day-to-day operations of a flagship venue. You will report to the General Manager and drive guest experiences and strong commercial results.

The role requires hands-on leadership in a fast-paced hospitality setting, with flexible shifts, weekend work, and a focus on coaching your management team to deliver outstanding service.

Qualifications

• Experience managing in fast-paced customer-facing environments (hospitality/leisure)
• Strong leadership and people-development skills
• Proven ability to drive sales and manage budgets

Responsibilities

• Lead from the front to ensure an exceptional guest experience.
• Coach, develop and inspire the management team to perform at their best.
• Maintain high operational standards (clean, safe, fully operational).
• Drive sales across multiple revenue streams and implement local initiatives.
• Manage budgets, banking, stock control and financial performance.
• Support a culture of high performance, engagement and accountability.
• Work a flexible shift pattern, including evenings and three weekends out of every four.
