Job summary

Emerald Teaching is recruiting for Computer Science teachers to deliver engaging lessons across Greater Manchester secondary schools. You will plan and deliver CS at Key Stage 3 and 4, inspiring students in computing and digital technologies.

The role emphasizes strong classroom management, effective assessment, and collaboration with colleagues to support student progress and school-wide activities.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Computer Science within UK secondary schools desirable.
• Strong subject knowledge and a passion for education.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality Computer Science lessons to students at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (Key Stage 5 experience desirable).
• Inspire students to develop their knowledge of computing, programming, and digital technologies.
• Assess, monitor, and report on student progress.
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports student achievement.
• Effectively manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to contribute to the wider school community.
