Job summary

West Park School invites applications for a Cover Supervisor. The role is 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8.30am–3.00pm with a 30-minute lunch. It is a permanent post, offered for 39 weeks per year, on the NJC pay scale points 5–11 (£18,163–£23,571).

The successful candidate will supervise classes in the absence of a teacher and support pupils to access the curriculum. GCSE Maths and English at grade C (or equivalent) is required; further qualification study may be encouraged.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English at grade C or above.
• Previous experience in supervising students is advantageous.
• Preparedness to study toward relevant qualifications is welcome.

Responsibilities

• Supervise classes during the absence of teaching staff.
• Provide support to classes and maintain classroom control.
• Liaise with teaching staff to support pupil access to the curriculum.
