Job summary

Monarch Education is seeking reliable Cover Supervisors to support pupils in Weston-super-Mare secondary schools from September. You will supervise classes, deliver pre-prepared work, and maintain a positive learning environment across Key Stages 3 and 4.

Flexible full-time and part-time opportunities are available with a competitive daily rate based on experience. Experience with young people, an enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply), and the right to work in the UK are required.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people in a school, coaching, tutoring, youth work or similar setting is desirable.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply for one.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Supervise classes during short-term absences of teaching staff.
• Deliver pre-prepared work and keep pupils on task.
• Maintain a calm, inclusive and well-managed environment across KS3 and KS4.
• Report back to teaching staff on pupil engagement and any issues.
• Support pupils with varying abilities and learning needs.
• Follow safeguarding procedures and school expectations at all times.
