Job summary

Monarch Education is recruiting reliable Cover Supervisors to support pupils across Bristol and surrounding areas for the new academic year. The role involves supervising classes during short-term absence of teaching staff and delivering pre-prepared work to maintain continuity of learning across Key Stage 3 and 4.

This is a fantastic opportunity for graduates, teaching assistants or individuals with experience working with young people who are considering a career in teaching, with roles

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people in a school, coaching, tutoring or similar setting is desirable.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills are required.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply for one.
• Right to work in the UK and eligibility to work.
• Willingness to complete registration, compliance and safeguarding checks.

Responsibilities

• Supervising classes across a range of secondary subjects.
• Delivering pre-prepared lessons and ensuring pupils stay on task.
• Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
• Supporting pupils with instructions and activities where appropriate.
• Creating a calm, inclusive and purposeful learning environment.
• Reporting back to teaching staff on pupil engagement and issues.
