Walthamstow Academy is seeking a dynamic Cover Supervisor to supervise lessons in the absence of the regular teacher. You will work with students, provide support, and respond to questions, ensuring smooth continuation of learning.

You should be able to work independently, show initiative, and adapt to a diverse, vibrant learning environment. The role offers 37.5 contractual hours and a salary in the 32k–35k FTE range, reflecting skills and experience.

Qualifications

• Dynamic and engaging Cover Supervisor with ability to supervise lessons.
• Ability to work independently and use initiative.
• Experience supporting learners from diverse backgrounds is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Supervise lessons and respond to student questions.
• Ensure learning objectives are understood at the start and reviewed at the end.
• Support equality of access and inclusion for all students.
• Provide feedback to the teacher on work and student progress.
• Assist with day-to-day academy tasks and invigilate exams when required.
