Job summary

Step Teachers Ltd is seeking a flexible Cover Supervisor to support schools across Norwich and surrounding areas. This role offers day-to-day supply, variety, and the chance to make a positive impact in multiple settings.

You will supervise classes, deliver pre-prepared plans, support learners, and uphold safeguarding standards. A reliable communicator with a collaborative approach will thrive in this position.

Qualifications

• Has experience working with children or young people in an educational setting.
• Demonstrates confidence managing classroom behaviour.
• Is adaptable, enthusiastic, and reliable.
• Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Holds relevant qualifications or training (desirable but not essential)

Responsibilities

• Supervise classes during teacher absence, ensuring pupils remain on task.
• Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and manage classroom behaviour.
• Support pupils with their learning and encourage engagement.
• Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment.
• Liaise with teaching staff to report on pupil progress and behaviour.
• Uphold safeguarding and behaviour policies consistently.
