Job summary

The Supply Register Ltd. is partnering with Core Education Trust to recruit resilient Cover Supervisors for Arena Academy, City Academy and Rockwood Academy in Birmingham.

The role focuses on strong behaviour management to maintain a positive learning environment from November 2026 onwards. We offer flexible day-to-day work with options for full-time, part-time or long-term placements, plus competitive daily rates and ongoing support from our Partnership Team.

Qualifications

• Proven behaviour management skills and confidence leading a classroom.
• Experience working with young people in education, coaching, youth work, mentoring or similar settings.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• The ability to remain calm, professional and resilient under pressure.
• A flexible, reliable and proactive approach.
• A genuine passion for supporting young people to succeed.
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of teaching staff
• Manage student behaviour confidently and consistently in line with school policies
• Maintain a calm, focused and productive learning environment
• Ensure students remain engaged, motivated and on task
• Deal effectively with classroom disruptions and challenges
• Support students whilst maintaining high expectations
• Follow safeguarding, attendance and behaviour procedures at all times
