Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking a confident Cover Supervisor to support daily school operations in Chorley. You will supervise classes in the absence of teaching staff, deliver pre-set work, manage behaviour and report outcomes to relevant staff.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS check (Update Service) is required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Confident managing groups in a professional setting.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and make independent decisions.
• Organised, flexible and dependable.
• Experience with young people is desirable but not essential.
• Demonstrates responsibility and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Supervise groups and ensure work or activities are carried out as planned.
• Provide instruction based on pre-prepared materials or guidance.
• Maintain a safe, organised, and productive environment.
• Manage behaviour and address issues appropriately.
• Report outcomes, progress, or concerns to the relevant team members.
