Job summary

Principal Education is seeking a Computing Teacher to join a supportive secondary school from 2nd October 2026 through to the end of the academic year. The role requires delivering Computing across KS3 and KS4 with strong classroom management and engaging lesson planning.

The successful candidate may be an experienced teacher with QTS or an enthusiastic ECT seeking a long-term assignment in a collaborative department. This is a full-time position starting in October 2026.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching experience.
• Strong knowledge of Computing/Computer Science.
• Experience teaching Computing at secondary level.
• Ability to deliver engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management.

Responsibilities

• Teach engaging and well-planned Computing lessons across the secondary age range.
• Deliver the school's Computing curriculum effectively.
• Plan, prepare and assess student work.
• Differentiate lessons to meet varying abilities.
• Maintain high expectations of behaviour, effort and achievement.
• Use a range of teaching strategies and technology to engage students.
• Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Build positive relationships with students and colleagues.
• Contribute to the wider life of the school and department.
