Job summary

The Oaks Academy is seeking a Cover Supervisor to supervise whole classes and ensure set work is completed in the absence of the teacher. You will deliver lessons across subjects, following plans, and keep students focused in a structured learning environment.

The role also involves supporting students in and outside the classroom, working with small groups or individuals, and helping maintain a positive, productive classroom climate. 32.5 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising whole classes in the absence of a teacher.
• Ability to follow lesson plans and manage classroom.
• Good communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise whole classes in the absence of a teacher.
• Deliver lessons across subjects following plans left by the class teacher.
• Keep students on task and ensure work is completed.
• Maintain a purposeful learning environment in the classroom.
• Provide in-class support and answer student questions.
• Work with small groups or individuals on a one-to-one basis.
• Support students in and outside of the classroom.
