Job summary

Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services is seeking an experienced Catering Manager to oversee on-site facilities at a Burton upon Trent location. You will manage the team, ensure high-quality home-cooked meals across shifts, and cover cooking in the chef's absence while driving stock control and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experienced and dynamic catering manager to oversee on-site facilities.
• Responsible for cooking Lunch in the chef's absence, stock control and maintaining high standards of food safety.
• Manage a diverse team and client relations; contribute to menu planning and long-term strategy.

Responsibilities

• Team & Operations Management: Oversee day-to-day operations of the unit, ensuring the team runs efficiently.
• Staff Scheduling: Create and manage staff rotas using Mitie's Workplace Plus system.
• Food Ordering & Stock Control: Manage food orders, deliveries, and stock control using Mitie's Saffron System.
• Food Safety & Allergen Management: Ensure adherence to food safety regulations and allergen control.
• Menu Creation & Promotions: Assist with menu creation and promote themed days across sites.
• Client Relations: Attend engagement meetings to discuss performance and relations.
• Financial Management: Handle cash control, safe checks, and banking responsibilities.
• Staff Well-being: Manage absences and return-to-work procedures.
