Job summary

FryerMiles is seeking an experienced VMware Infrastructure Architect for a Defence project in Hampshire on a rolling 6-month contract. The role requires DV clearance and focuses on designing and implementing VMware-based IaaS solutions across VMware Cloud Foundation, Cloud Director and NSX-T with five days on site.

You will configure and optimise VCF, NSX-T networking and security, and deploy VMware Cloud Director while supporting automation tasks using PowerShell or Python.

Qualifications

• VMware infrastructure architecture experience
• DV clearance desirable
• Automation experience with PowerShell or Python

Responsibilities

• Design and implement VMware-based IaaS solutions
• Configure and optimise VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF)
• Configure NSX-T networking and security
• Deploy and manage VMware Cloud Director (VCD)
• Design air-gapped patching and update capabilities
• Support technical design, testing and troubleshooting
