Job summary

Ncounter Limited is seeking a DV-cleared Solution Architect to lead architecture from high-level design to implementation across Defence-grade infrastructure. The role focuses on VMware virtualisation, LAN/WAN networking, and secure integration, with hands-on delivery when required.

You will collaborate with engineering teams and security specialists to produce robust, auditable designs and roadmaps, manage risks, and ensure governance across complex services in a demanding Defence environment.

Qualifications

• Must have current and active DV clearance.
• Extensive experience in Defence or secure environments.
• Deep VMware knowledge in enterprise virtualisation.
• Strong LAN/WAN and network services design experience.

Responsibilities

• Own and develop solution architecture across complex infrastructure environments.
• Produce high and low-level designs, technical roadmaps and documentation.
• Design solutions incorporating VMware virtualisation and enterprise networking.
• Translate requirements into practical solution designs.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, security and engineering teams throughout delivery.
• Support architecture governance, technical assurance and design approval.
• Identify risks, dependencies and integration challenges across services.
• Engage with technical teams, stakeholders and third-party suppliers.
