Job summary

iO Associates seeks an experienced Infrastructure Security Architect on a contract basis (Outside IR35) to lead security architecture across enterprise infrastructure, networks, hosting platforms, identity, endpoint and cloud.

You will produce architecture artefacts, drive secure-by-design outcomes, and work with governance forums to ensure compliant, operational designs in a high-assurance environment.

Qualifications

• Highly experienced Security Architect with strong Infrastructure Architecture background.
• Exposure across enterprise infrastructure, networks, hosting platforms, identity, endpoint and cloud.
• Ability to produce client-ready architecture artefacts and present to senior stakeholders.
• Knowledge of UK security frameworks and standards (NCSC SPF, ISO 27001/27002, NIST, CIS).
• Active DV clearance and NPPV3 required.

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver security architecture for infrastructure solutions (data centres, hosting, network, identity, endpoint).
• Develop high-quality architecture documentation (HLD/LLD, reference architectures, roadmaps).
• Lead threat modelling and risk assessments on infrastructure designs with mitigations.
• Drive secure-by-design outcomes with engineering teams and vendors.
• Provide assurance through governance forums and architecture review boards.
• Define and assure controls for network segmentation, encryption, PKI, and secure admin models.
• Support operational security posture, hardening standards, vulnerability management, and secure build pipelines.
