Job summary

Flint UK Technology Services is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer (ideally DV cleared or able to obtain DV clearance) to lead end-to-end lifecycle design, build, commissioning and live operations of critical infrastructure such as Building Management Systems, Central Monitoring platforms and CCTV.

You will drive automation-first infrastructure using Terraform, Ansible and PowerShell, collaborate with engineers and operations teams, and enhance security, resilience and performance at

Qualifications

• Proven ability to lead full life cycle design, build, commissioning and live operations of complex infrastructure systems.
• Strong technical knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS), Central Monitoring platforms, CCTV or equivalent critical environments.
• Experience in high-availability, mission-critical environments with emphasis on resilience, uptime and security.
• Deep understanding of physical and system security principles, risk identification, mitigation and management.
• Track record of automation via Infrastructure as Code, reducing manual intervention and improving operations.
• Ability to design and integrate multi-vendor systems into cohesive, scalable platforms.
• Ability to translate technical complexity into business value and influence stakeholders across engineering, security and operations.
• Focus on service assurance, proactive monitoring and continuous optimization.

Responsibilities

• Architect next-generation BMS, CMS and CCTV systems.
• Drive automation-first infrastructure via IaC (Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell).
• Solve complex compute, storage, and networking challenges.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects and operations to deliver end-to-end services.
• Enhance platform security, resilience and performance at scale.
• Champion incident, change and problem management best practices.
• Create clear runbooks and engineering standards.
• Continuously improve how to build and run infrastructure with new ideas.
