Job summary

CBSbutler is seeking an experienced Capacity & Performance Manager for a 12-month contract in the South West. The role requires active UK DV clearance, extensive capacity management and performance analysis expertise, and the ability to oversee complex IT infrastructure across physical, virtual and cloud environments.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in Capacity Management and Performance Analysis within enterprise IT environments.
• Strong experience in capacity planning, forecasting, demand modelling and infrastructure performance management.
• Experience across Windows, Linux/UNIX, virtualization, databases, storage and enterprise infrastructure.
• Advanced data analysis skills and ability to interpret large datasets.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Splunk, AppDynamics, BMC, VMware, PerfMon, Patrol or TeamQuest.
• Strong knowledge of SQL/Oracle and data analysis.
• Experience working with senior stakeholders, technical teams, suppliers and service providers.
• Solid understanding of ITIL, Incident, Problem, Change, Risk and Service Management.

Responsibilities

• Lead capacity and performance management across complex IT infrastructure and services.
• Develop demand, capacity and performance models, forecasts and long-term capacity plans.
• Analyse infrastructure performance across physical, virtual and cloud environments.
• Produce dashboards, reports and management information for decisions.
• Collaborate with technical teams, service managers, suppliers and stakeholders to translate demand into infra requirements.
• Identify capacity risks and performance issues; recommend mitigations.
• Support live incidents with capacity and performance analysis during outages.
• Manage demand, risk, incident, problem and change activities through ITIL processes.
• Provide technical input into infrastructure projects, architecture and service design.
• Support continuous improvement of capacity and performance management processes and tooling.
