Job summary

Datasource Recruitment is assisting a public sector/defence aligned client in Cheltenham with a full-time on-site tester role. You will engage with users, review test docs, and collaborate with developers to shape project delivery.

The ideal candidate has experience in National Security testing, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work under pressure within a dynamic team environment. DV clearance is required and the role emphasises work-life balance and strong pension support.

Qualifications

• Experience testing software within National Security is preferred.
• Candidate should be able to work both independently and within a team.
• On-site full-time role with willingness to engage across priority projects.

Responsibilities

• Engage with system users to understand project scope and requirements.
• Review functional and non-functional test documentation.
• Collaborate with software developers and project support teams.
• Analyse business needs and contribute to project planning.
• Monitor application performance and conduct stress, performance and scalability testing.
• Develop and execute test scripts and perform manual and automated testing.
• Document and report bugs and participate in code assessment.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues and support recruitment processes as needed.
• Identify, evaluate and pursue potential new business opportunities.
