Job summary

Searchability is seeking an experienced Manual Tester to join a high-security Cheltenham delivery team on a permanent, on-site basis. The role requires active eDV clearance and hands-on testing across complex applications, with close collaboration with developers and engineers to ensure quality releases.

MANUAL TESTER – eDV CLEARED

NEW PERMANENT OPPORTUNITY AVAILABLE FOR AN eDV CLEARED MANUAL TESTER IN CHELTENHAM

• Salary: Up to £75,000 + Clearance Bonus
• Location: Cheltenham
• Working Pattern: Fully on-site
• Clearance: Active eDV clearance required
• Type: Permanent

I'm currently working with a leading technology organisation on an exciting opportunity for an experienced Manual Tester to join a high-performing team delivering secure, mission-critical technology.

This is a hands-on testing role within a highly technical environment, where you'll be responsible for planning and executing manual testing across complex applications and systems, working closely with developers, engineers and wider delivery teams to ensure high-quality releases.

THE ROLE

You'll be involved across the full testing lifecycle, including:

• Creating and executing detailed manual test cases and test scenarios
• Functional, integration, regression and system testing
• Identifying, documenting and tracking defects through to resolutionWorking closely with developers and technical teams to investigate issues
• Supporting test planning and contributing to overall test strategies
• Reviewing requirements and technical documentation to ensure effective test coverage
• Supporting releases and deployments across secure environments
• Providing clear reporting on test progress, defects and risks

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We're looking for a Manual Tester with solid experience working within complex technical environments.

You'll ideally have experience with:

• Manual software testing within a professional development environment
• Creating and executing test cases and test scenarios
• Functional, integration and regression testing
• Defect management and reporting
• Working with Agile/Scrum development teams
• Understanding of the full software development and testing lifecycle
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Security clearance is essential for this role — you must hold active eDV clearance for high-side IT access .
