Job summary

Alongside is seeking an experienced Service Manager to lead Domestic Abuse Housing services across the BANES area. You will manage local projects, develop staff teams, and ensure high-quality, trauma-informed support that helps clients move forward with confidence.

The role requires strong leadership, safeguarding knowledge, and the ability to build relationships with commissioners and partners to deliver safe, effective services within contractual and quality targets.

Qualifications

• Experience managing teams within housing, domestic abuse, homelessness, social care or support services.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop and inspire high-performing teams.
• Knowledge of safeguarding, trauma-informed practice and supporting people experiencing social exclusion.
• Experience managing service performance and achieving positive outcomes.
• Excellent communication and partnership-building skills.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop a team delivering trauma-informed support services.
• Ensure client-centred support helps achieve positive outcomes and independence.
• Build relationships with commissioners, partners and stakeholders in the BANES area.
• Drive service quality, performance and continuous improvement across projects.
• Oversee housing/operational management; ensure safety, compliance and effectiveness; maintain Safelives Leading Lights standards.
