Job summary

UniTrust Protection Services (UK) Ltd is seeking an experienced Duty Shift Manager to lead a small team of security officers at a large business park in London. The role requires hands-on leadership across static posts, patrols, and CCTV operations.

You will ensure high standards of visitor security and customer service, manage day-to-day operations on a 4 on, 4 off pattern, including days, nights and weekends, and act as site commander for routine incidents.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a small team of security officers on the ground.
• Oversee static entry posts, mobile patrols, CCTV control room, and event security.
• Monitor CCTV, track persons/vehicles of interest, and maintain logbooks.
• Conduct daily checks, process contractors and deliveries, and manage alarms.
• Ensure SOP-compliant patrols with high visibility and deterrence.
• Coordinate post rotations, ensure rest breaks and welfare.
• Act as site commander for day-to-day minor issues and queries.

Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Duty Shift Manager
(DSM) to lead a team of security officers at one of the leading business
parks in Europe. The site encompasses 12 office buildings located around
a lake and gardens with up to 9, 0000 people and 70 companies working
on site.

The management ethos is centred around delivering 5-star customer
service and the site also hosts regular small-scale entertainment and
sports events. The park is open to the public all year and has a small
number of shops, cafes and bars.

We are looking for an experienced, flexible, customer focused Duty Shift
Manager to lead and motivate a small team of security officers in
delivering great visitor experiences underpinned by discreet but solid
security, at a challenging but highly rewarding site.

Core Duties:

• Lead and manage a small team of security officers, overseeing their
• daily duties on the ground. Team roles include static entry posts,
• mobile foot patrols, control room CCTV operators, and event
• security.
• Manage control room CCTV operators to ensure they are
• proactively monitoring the park for security concerns, tracking
• persons/ vehicles of interest, maintaining logbooks, conducting
• daily checks, processing contractors and deliveries, answering
• intercoms, issuing keys, monitoring alarms and other tasks in
• SOPs.
• Manage foot patrols and static posts to ensure they are conducted
• as per SOPs, to high standards, with high levels of visibility/
• deterrence, and cover the full site while scanning patrol tags and
• reporting on radios correctly.
• Conduct daily morning team briefings and shift inspections to
• ensure timely attendance and smart, consistent appearance of the
• team.
