Job summary

Bournemouth Airport is seeking a Duty Security Manager on a 12-month fixed-term contract to lead frontline security operations and ensure safety, security, and compliance across airport activities while delivering excellent customer service.

The successful candidate will supervise Security Officers, maintain regulatory standards, and coordinate with internal teams, airlines, contractors and external agencies to sustain safe airport operations.

We are seeking a highly motivated and professional Duty Security Manager to join our Security Team on a 12-month fixed term contract. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced security professional to lead frontline operations, ensuring the safety, security, and compliance of airport activities while delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and support Security Officers during daily operations.
• Ensure compliance with all security regulations, airport procedures, and company policies.
• Monitor security screening activities and operational performance standards.
• Respond to incidents, emergencies, and operational issues, taking appropriate action as required.
• Conduct briefings, coaching, and on-the-job training for team members.
• Complete reports, investigations, and administrative duties accurately and within required timescales.
• Liaise with internal departments, airlines, contractors, and external agencies to maintain safe and secure operations.
• Promote a positive safety and security culture throughout the airport.
