Job summary

Iceland Foods Ltd. in Tyldesley is seeking a committed Duty Manager/Retail Assistant to join our team on a full-time basis. The role offers a base salary of £11.60–£12.71 per hour, plus an additional £2.00 per hour when running the store, with contracted hours of 37.5 per week.

You will help maximise store performance, ensure product availability, lead shifts, and support a positive, inclusive culture while driving sales and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Experience in a retail management or supervisory role ideal but not essential.
• Communicates effectively with every colleague to deliver store tasks first time, every time.
• Plans and organises the shift, using every member of the team.
• Provides balanced feedback when needed to improve the performance of every colleague.
• Sets the pace of the team, when on shift, by being hands on to deliver a great store.

Responsibilities

• Maximise profit by ensuring great availability for customers.
• Deliver on all actions set by line manager.
• Follow cash handling and security policies & processes.
• Provide the best digital service through implementing all “One Best Way” processes.
