Job summary

Leonardo Royal Hotel Oxford is seeking a Duty Manager to supervise day-to-day hotel operations, ensuring memorable guest stays and driving a high-performing team across departments. You’ll support the senior operations team and act as an ambassador for the hotel and Leonardo Hotels.

You’ll lead recruitment, coach new starters, resolve guest issues with calm professionalism, and partner with HR on staff engagement and activities. This busy, hands-on role includes early/late shifts and weekends.

Qualifications

• Supervise the day-to-day hotel operations.
• Interviews and recruitment – assist with hiring as part of the team.
• Coach and train new starters to confidence in their roles.
• Excellent problem-solving skills to manage conflicts or complaints.

Responsibilities

• Get out and about in the hotel, greeting guests and motivating the team to deliver great hospitality.
• Have strong operational knowledge with the ability to work across departments as required.
• Support other managers with interviews and recruitment- it’s a team effort.
• Coach and train new starters- we want everyone to feel confident in their new role.
• Have excellent problem-solving skills with the confidence to manage conflicts or complaints seamlessly.
• Collaborate with your local HR team to host engaging activities for the team.
• Preferably have experience working in a branded hotel or restaurant?
