Job summary

The Range is seeking an experienced Duty Manager for our busy Loughborough store. You will support the day-to-day operations alongside the Store Manager, delivering exceptional customer experiences and maintaining high store standards.

You will lead colleagues on the shop floor, provide coaching, and ensure all procedures—customer service, merchandising, health & safety, and compliance—are delivered consistently and efficiently to drive performance.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail supervisory/management roles.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate and support colleagues.
• Hands-on, flexible approach in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a friendly, helpful and efficient customer experience at all times
• Lead by example in providing excellent customer service
• Support effective queue management and customer flow during busy periods
• Resolve customer queries and complaints professionally
• Promote a positive and engaging in-store experience
• Support, motivate and guide store colleagues
• Assist with colleague training, induction and development
• Provide coaching and performance feedback
• Help maintain a positive, productive and collaborative working environment
• Ensure company policies and standards are consistently followed
• Ensure the store is clean, organised and ready for trade each day
• Maintain high merchandising and presentation standards
• Support promotional activity and stock availability
• Monitor deliveries, stock movement and warehouse organisation
• Assist with opening and closing procedures
• Support store security procedures including cash and stock control
• Ensure health & safety procedures are followed at all times
• Assist with accident logs, safety records and risk assessments
• Monitor EPOS and pricing compliance
• Ensure operational procedures are delivered accurately and consistently
