Job summary

Swissport in Greater London is seeking a Cargo Operations Supervisor to efficiently manage, motivate and engage staff to meet airline targets while following company procedures and brand values.

The role involves leadership of shift teams across warehouse, ramp, and office areas, ensuring cost control and high service quality in a busy 24/7 operation. Experience in cargo processes and office systems is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience in the industry.
• Thorough working knowledge of Cargo, Warehouse and Ramp processes.
• Effective leadership, organisational and communication skills in a very busy 24/7 Cargo Operation.
• Excellent knowledge of the Operation Office function.
• Good working knowledge of PC systems and Microsoft Office.
• Customer focus with high quality and service level standards.
• Strong resource management and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in inclement weather.

Responsibilities

• Control and monitoring of the shift and work activities.
• Accountability for production of accurate Handling Reports for customers / senior management.
• Maintain strict cost control on labour and equipment on shift and plan ahead for colleagues.
• Manage staff across warehouse, ramp and office facilities to maximize productivity.
• Monitor sickness on a shift basis and conduct sickness interviews per disciplinary procedures.
• Maintain compliance with Health & Safety, Training and Quality standards and company policy.
• Maintain excellent communication with all stakeholders.
• Monitor and control to ensure smooth operation of Reception and site security per CAA and company requirements.

Job Summary

To efficiently manage, motivate and engage staff to ensure delivery of customer airline targets whilst complying with all Company and customer procedures, policies and brand values.

This ad will close on 18-11-26.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities

• Control and monitoring of the shift and work activities
• Accountability for production of accurate and detailed Handling Reports as and when required and of a standard suitable for forwarding to customers / internal senior management
• Maintaining a strict cost control on labour and equipment whilst on shift and possession of foresight to plan ahead for fellow colleagues
• Management responsibility for all staff, utilising available manpower and equipment resources through warehouse, ramp and office facilities to maximize productivity
• Monitoring of sickness on a shift to shift basis, ability to conduct sickness interviews together with a thorough knowledge of the disciplinary process/procedures
• Maintaining compliance in Health & Safety, Training and Qualitywhilst ensuring the relevant statutory, regulatory and company policy requirements are met
• Maintaining excellent communication with all relevant stakeholders
• Monitoring and control to ensure smooth operation of Reception
• Monitor and control site security in line with CAA and Company requirements.
