Job summary

Dalata Hotel Group Plc in Birmingham is seeking a reliable Duty Manager to join our Nights team, for full-time or part-time hours. You will oversee overnight hotel operations, support guests, and handle the night audit and financial procedures, ensuring safety and readiness for the day ahead.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service orientation.
• Experience with night audit is a plus.
• Ability to lead a team and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth operation of the hotel at night with high levels of guest service.
• Perform night audit and manage check-in/check-out for late arrivals.
• Oversee health and safety duties, including fire walks and security checks.
• Provide food & beverage service during night hours.
• Maintain a clean and welcoming lobby and meeting room area.
• Lead and develop the Night team for future career progression.
• Contribute to the strategic running of the hotel and nightly routines.

Job description

We are looking for a reliable and customer-focused Duty Manager to join our Nights team, suitable for a full-time or part-timer. You'll play an important role in ensuring the smooth running of the hotel overnight, supporting our guests, completing the night audit and financial procedures, and ensuring the hotel is safe, secure and ready for the day ahead. Your Job:

• Responsible for smooth and efficient operation of the hotel at night and to ensure the highest level of customer service.
• Responsible for overall health & safety at night, including fire walks, security checks, and any other relevant health & safety duties, e.g. first aid
• Perform Front Office duties, including running the night audit report and check-in and check-out out guests
• Food & Beverage service at night.
• Clean the hotel lobby and meeting room area.
• Lead the team to achieve goals in relation to mystery audits, customer comment index, quality evaluations and hotel standards.
• Lead and develop the Night team, making sure that they become prepared for the next step in their career.
• Contribute to the strategic running of the hotel.
  Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Outstanding communication skills.
• Capability to remain calm and perform well under pressure.
• Experience in a 3/ 4-star hotel is desired but not essential
