Job summary

Mor-Tech Consultants Ltd is seeking an experienced dust cart driver/operator for long-term, on-site work in the South East London area, with duties including safe HGV Class 2 operation and supervising a small loading crew.

The role requires a valid HGV Class 2 licence, Driver CPC, and a Digital Tachograph card, along with essential rear steer driving experience. You will work from the Deptford yard on 26 tonne, 3 axle vehicles.

Qualifications

• Experience with HGV Class 2 driving in urban environments.
• Ability to lead a 2–3 person crew.
• Proven record of routine safety checks and defect reporting.
• Willingness to assist with loading and waste collection tasks.

Responsibilities

• Drive HGV Class 2 safely through tight urban streets.
• Lead a 2–3 person team to empty bins into the vehicle.
• Perform daily pre- and post-shift safety checks and report defects.
• Assist operations with loading and waste collection when required.

Job Specification-

• Driving HGV Class 2: Safely navigate large refuse trucks down narrow residential streets and commercial zones.

• Managing Crews: Lead a 2-to-3-person team of loaders who empty bins into the vehicle.

• Vehicle Safety: Perform daily pre- and post-shift safety checks and report any mechanical defects.

• Assisting Operations: Help the team with loading and waste collection duties when required.

Requirements-

• Licence: Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) driving licence.

• Cards: Valid Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) and Digital Tachograph card.

• Experience: Rear Steer driving expereince (ESSENTIAL)

• Record: Clean driving record with minimal penalty points and no major endorsements.

Additional Information-

26 Tonne, 3 Axle Lorry.

Operating out of the yard in Deptford.
