Job summary

SER Limited is actively seeking Dual Fuel Smart Meter Engineers to install, maintain and inspect SMETS2 meters at domestic properties across the UK. You will manage warrants, respond to in-day emergencies and document work using handheld devices.

This role emphasizes high customer service standards, safety, and continuous skill development, with no weekend work and bonus opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Experience of 2+ years in Dual Fuel Smart Metering.
• CCN1/CMA1 and MET1 or equivalent qualifications.
• MOCOPA or recognised smart metering qualification.
• EUSR registration, including three-phase experience.
• Full UK driving licence with up to 6 penalty points.

Responsibilities

• Install single-phase and three-phase SMETS2 meters in domestic properties.
• Carry out warrants and in-day emergency work.
• Undertake ongoing maintenance, investigations and fault finding.
• Complete work safely, accurately and in line with industry standards.

Dual Fuel Smart Meter Engineer

Job Type: Full-Time / Self-Employed

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm

Area Covered: TR Postcodes

Earning Potential: Upto £60,000 a year

An established and growing energy services business is looking for experienced Dual Fuel Smart Meter Engineers to join its expanding field-based team.

You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance and investigation of smart metering equipment across domestic customer properties, while providing a professional and high-quality customer service.

The Role

Your responsibilities will include:

• Installing single-phase and three-phase SMETS2 smart meters within domestic properties.
• Carrying out warrants and in-day emergency work.
• Undertaking ongoing maintenance, investigations and fault finding.
• Completing all work safely, accurately and in accordance with industry standards.
• Providing excellent customer service at every appointment.
• Completing job records using handheld IT devices.
• Working in line with company health & safety procedures.
• Opportunity to earn additional meter-fit bonuses.
• No weekend work or on-call requirement.

Engineer Requirements

To be considered for the role, you will need:

• Minimum 2 years' Dual Fuel Smart Metering experience.
• CCN1/CMA1 and MET1, or equivalent qualifications.
• MOCOPA or recognised Smart Metering qualification.
• EUSR registration, including three-phase experience.
• Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
• Comfortable using handheld IT devices to complete and record jobs.
• Ability to successfully pass a DBS check.
• A professional approach to customer service, health & safety and quality.
• A willingness to continue developing within the smart metering industry.
