Job summary

Three Trees Infant Academy is seeking an Assistant Premises Officer to help maintain two school sites, keeping buildings safe, secure and welcoming for pupils, staff and visitors.

Under the Estates Lead, you will open and close premises, monitor security, carry out routine maintenance and minor repairs, coordinate contractors, and support health and safety checks to keep every area fit for purpose. Strong communication and practical DIY skills are valued.

Responsibilities

• Maintain two school sites, ensuring premises are safe, secure and welcoming.
• Open and close premises and monitor site security.
• Carry out routine maintenance and minor repairs; oversee contractors on site.
• Monitor cleaning standards and respond to premises-related issues.
• Support health and safety checks and ensure areas are fit for purpose.
• Assist with planned maintenance programmes and minor decorating tasks.
• Monitor school grounds, deliveries and moving furniture when required.
• Respond to emergencies such as leaks, floods or loss of utilities.
