Job summary

First blue healthcare Ltd is seeking a Dual Registered Manager in Rugeley to lead a residential home for children and young people. You will shape the home’s Statement of Purpose, deliver high-quality care, and provide strong motivational leadership to the team.

You will manage operations, ensure safeguarding, coordinate development plans, and maintain regulatory compliance. The role includes on-call duties and a Monday–Friday 9am–5pm schedule with additional responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Hold a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s Services.
• Demonstrate senior-level experience within a residential children’s home setting.
• Show leadership and management abilities and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a residential home and ensure the service operates in line with legislation, policies and the Statement of Purpose.
• Safeguard and promote the rights of children and young people; provide high quality, non-discriminatory care.
• Develop a service development plan to deliver high quality, clinically informed practice.
• Support adults to achieve the highest standards of care for children and young people.
• Coordinate casework and administrative functions of the home and monitor performance.
• Assist and supervise ongoing assessments of needs and prepare development plans.
• Contribute to training and development for staff to meet needs of young people.
• Maintain professional standards and keep records up to date.
• Develop positive relationships with staff, children, families and stakeholders.
• Liaise with multi-disciplinary teams and regulators to meet care needs.
