Orion Smart Metering invites experienced Dual Fuel Smart Meter Engineers to join our nationwide team. You will install smart meters in domestic properties, delivering a professional service while meeting safety standards and compliance.

As we continue to grow our national contracts, we’re looking for experienced Dual Fuel Smart Meter Engineers to join our expanding team.

The Dual Fuel Smart Meter Engineers need to live in any of the following postcodes: CV7 / CV9-13 / B46.

Pay & Package Options

Salary Package

• £43000 rising to £45,000 per annum after completion of 3 month probation.
• 33 days holiday (including bank holidays)
• Company van, fuel card, tools & uniform provided

Guaranteed Day Rate – Option 1

• £200 per day
• Paid via Umbrella PAYE
• Company van, fuel card, tools & uniform provided

Guaranteed Day Rate – Option 2

• £275 per day
• Paid via Umbrella PAYE
• Engineer provides own van & fuel
• Tools & uniform provided

Bonus Breakdown

• KPI Bonus – £150 per month
• Achieved by hitting 75% job completion in a calendar month
• Attendance Bonus – £150 per month
• Awarded for full attendance with no sick days
• Pro-rated for holidays

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm (1-hour lunch)
• Minimum 4 jobs per day / 20 per week
• Optional weekend work available once weekly targets are met

Call Out

• 1 week in 4 rota
• Standby payments Monday–Sunday
• Per job rates:
• £150 per dual install
• £80 per single
• £50 per transactional job
• Saturday work available (paid at day rate)

Requirements

• Smart Meter Engineering qualification or diploma
• CMA1 or CCN1 & MET1

• Clean DBS check (recent within 3 months preferred)
• EUSR card (advantageous, not essential)

• Driving licence, passport, gas certificates, MOCOPA, qualifications, NI number, references, and DBS.
