Job summary

Orion Smart Metering in the UK is seeking experienced Dual Fuel Smart Meter Engineers to join our nationwide team.

You will install smart meters safely in domestic properties, delivering a professional, customer-focused service while meeting safety and compliance standards. Required qualifications include CMA1/CCN1 & MET1, MOCOPA (or during induction) and a full UK driving licence; a recent DBS check is preferred.

Qualifications

• Smart Metering qualification or diploma.
• CMA1 or CCN1 & MET1.
• MOCOPA certification (or completed during induction).
• Full UK driving licence.
• Clean DBS check (recent within 3 months preferred).
• EUSR card (advantageous, not essential).

Job description

At Orion Smart Metering, we’re proud to work with some of the UK’s biggest energy and metering companies.

As we continue to grow our national contracts, we’re looking for experienced Dual Fuel Smart Meter Engineers to join our expanding team.

Pay & Package Options

Choose the option that suits your circumstances:

1. £45,000 per annum.

   33 days holiday (including bank holidays)

   Company van, fuel card, tools & uniform provided.

2. £200 per day

   Paid via Umbrella PAYE

   Company van, fuel card, tools & uniform provided.

3. £275 per day

   Paid via Umbrella PAYE

   Engineer provides own van & fuel

   Tools & uniform provided.

Bonus Breakdown

Boost your earnings with monthly incentives:

• KPI Bonus - £150 per month

  Achieved by hitting 75% job completion in a calendar monthAttendance Bonus - £150 per month

  Awarded for full attendance with no sick days

  Pro-rated for holidays

Working Hours

Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm (1-hour lunch)

Minimum 4 jobs per day / 20 per week

Optional weekend work available once weekly targets are met

Call Out

• 1 week in 4 rota
• Standby payments Monday-Sunday
• Per job rates: £150 per dual install
• £80 per single
• £50 per transactional job
• Saturday work available (paid at day rate)

Documents required: Driving licence, passport, gas certificates, MOCOPA, qualifications, NI number, references, and DBS.
