Job summary

Create Education in London area invites a proactive DT Technician to join a well-supported secondary school. You will help prepare workshops and equipment for practical Design Technology lessons, assist teachers and students, and keep workshop areas safe and organized.

You will also manage stock, perform basic maintenance, and contribute to displays and demonstrations in a collaborative department, with DBS checks expected.

Qualifications

• Experience as a DT Technician or related role in Design Technology.
• Strong practical skills with tools and equipment.
• Knowledge of health and safety procedures within a workshop environment.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare materials, tools and equipment for practical DT lessons.
• Support teachers during practical lessons and assist students.
• Maintain and organise DT workshops, classrooms and storage areas.
• Ensure tools, machinery and equipment are safe, clean and ready for use.
• Carry out basic maintenance and repairs of equipment where appropriate.
• Manage stock levels and order materials when required.
• Support displays, student projects and practical demonstrations.
• Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
