Job summary

Vision for Education Ltd is seeking a DT Technician (Temporary) in Paignton to support the Design Technology department. The role involves preparing materials and equipment for lessons, keeping tools and equipment safe and well-maintained, and assisting teachers during practical sessions.

The successful candidate will help with resource management, setting up demonstrations, and ensuring workshops and classrooms are ready for each lesson, focusing on safety and organisation to support students

Qualifications

• Experience in a school or workshop environment.
• Knowledge of health and safety procedures in DT workshops.
• Passion for supporting pupil progress in DT.
• Ability to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare materials and equipment for lessons.
• Maintain tools and machinery to high safety standards.
• Provide practical support to teachers during lessons.
• Assist with resource management and set up demonstrations.
