Job summary

Marchant Recruitment is seeking a practical, creative and reliable DT Technician to join a successful Design & Technology department and provide valuable technical support to staff and students. The successful candidate will assist with the preparation of lessons, maintenance of equipment and organisation of the DT workshops.

This is a fantastic full-time opportunity for someone with practical skills and an interest in Design & Technology.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a DT, workshop or practical environment is desirable.
• Relevant practical or technical qualifications would be advantageous.
• Good knowledge of workshop safety and equipment.
• Strong organisational and practical skills.
• Legal ability to work within the UK.

Responsibilities

• Support lesson preparation for Design & Technology lessons.
• Maintain and organise workshop equipment and resources.
• Help ensure workshops are safe and well organised for practical lessons.
• Assist staff and students in accessing materials for projects.
