Job summary

Aspire People are recruiting a passionate Design & Technology Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in Rhondda Cynon Taf on a full-time basis with an immediate start.

You will teach KS3 and KS4 Design & Technology with a strong focus on Woodwork and Resistant Materials, delivering engaging practical and theory lessons in a well-managed workshop environment.

The role offers a supportive environment with opportunities for long-term roles and a competitive daily rate.

Qualifications

• QTS/QTLS or equivalent required.
• Experience teaching Design & Technology in a secondary setting.
• Confident delivering Woodwork/Resistant Materials lessons.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

Aspire People are recruiting for a passionate and skilled Design & Technology Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in Rhondda Cynon Taf on a full-time basis with an immediate start.

This is an excellent opportunity for a DT specialist who can confidently teach Woodwork/Resistant Materials alongside other areas of the Design & Technology curriculum. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic about practical learning and able to engage students of all abilities in a safe, well-managed workshop environment.

The Role

• Full-time DT teaching position in a secondary school
• Immediate start available
• Teaching KS3 and KS4 Design & Technology
• Delivering engaging practical and theory lessons
• Strong focus on Woodwork/Resistant Materials
• Ability to teach additional DT disciplines such as Product Design, Construction, Engineering or Graphics would be advantageous
• Maintaining high standards of behaviour and workshop safety

We Are Looking For

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent
• Experience teaching Design & Technology in a secondary setting
• Confident delivering Woodwork/Resistant Materials lessons
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• Passion for practical, hands-on learning
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
