Job summary

Aspire People are recruiting for a passionate and skilled Design & Technology Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in Rhondda Cynon Taf on a full-time basis with an immediate start. This role will teach KS3 and KS4 Design & Technology, with a focus on Woodwork/Resistant Materials, delivering practical and theory lessons in a safe, well-managed workshop.

Qualifications

• QTS/QTLS or equivalent required.
• Experience teaching Design & Technology in a secondary setting.

• Passion for practical, hands‑on learning.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

Responsibilities

Aspire People are recruiting for a passionate and skilled Design & Technology Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in Rhondda Cynon Taf on a full-time basis with an immediate start.

This is an excellent opportunity for a DT specialist who can confidently teach Woodwork/Resistant Materials alongside other areas of the Design & Technology curriculum. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic about practical learning and able to engage students of all abilities in a safe, well-managed workshop environment.

The Role

• Full-time DT teaching position in a secondary school
• Immediate start available
• Teaching KS3 and KS4 Design & Technology
• Delivering engaging practical and theory lessons
• Strong focus on Woodwork/Resistant Materials
• Ability to teach additional DT disciplines such as Product Design, Construction, Engineering or Graphics would be advantageous
