Job summary

Thorn Baker Group are seeking experienced Dryliners for a Barrow-in-Furness site on a construction project starting in November 2026. You will install plasterboard, lay out metal stud partitions and ceiling systems, and work from site drawings.

Candidates must hold a valid CSCS card, have their own tools where required, and wear full PPE. You will work independently and as part of a team, maintaining quality workmanship and a tidy, safe working area in line with site safety procedures.

• Proven experience as a Dryliner.
• Valid CSCS card.
• Own tools where required.
• Full PPE provided or worn on site.

Responsibilities

• Installing plasterboard to walls and ceilings as per drawings.
• Installing metal stud partitions and ceiling systems.
• Measuring, cutting and fixing plasterboard accurately.
• Maintaining a clean, tidy and safe working area on site.
• Working from site drawings and instructions where required.
• Ensuring joints and surfaces are prepared for finishing and handover.

We are currently looking for experienced Dryliners to join a construction project based in Barrow-in-Furness.

JOB DETAILS

DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:

• Installing plasterboard to walls and ceilings
• Installing metal stud partitions and ceiling systems
• Measuring, cutting and fixing plasterboard accurately
• Completing drylining works to a high standard
• Working from site drawings and instructions where required
• Ensuring joints and surfaces are prepared ready for finishing
• Working alongside other trades to keep the project on schedule
• Maintaining a clean, tidy and safe working area
• Following all site health and safety procedures

REQUIREMENTS:

• Previous experience as a Dryliner
• Valid CSCS card
• Own tools, where required
• Full PPE
• Good attention to detail and quality workmanship
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Available to start in November 2026
