Under the oversight of the Dry Dock Interiors Manager, you will manage the execution of the approved dry dock scope of work for fleet interiors enhancement projects during the dry-docking period.

Our team collaborates with departments such as hotel operations, marine and technical operations, and environmental compliance to ensure successful project execution, creating memorable experiences for our guests.

This role is based in Disney Cruise Line’s London Hammersmith office and requires approximately 3 months of global travel per year, including full presence during dry dock periods.
What You Will Do
- Develop, plan, and execute interior enhancement projects during dry-docking periods.
- Write detailed scopes of work and technical specifications for interior enhancement projects.
- Provide documentation, including technical specifications, for approved scope delivery.
- Produce technical product specifications, consult with external bodies for regulatory compliance and industry best practices.
- Evaluate vendor proposals, providing detailed breakdowns and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Research new ideas, products, and regulatory changes to ensure compliance.
- Ensure all relevant documentation is updated within the project and maintenance management system (AMOS).
- Liaise with operational partners, including hotel operations, marine & technical operations, ADA, and environmental compliance for dry dock interior work planning.
- Partner with shipyard, Walt Disney Imagineering, contracted vendors, and external regulatory bodies for scope delivery.
- Manage additional consulting team members assigned to specific project areas.
- Act as the primary contact for shipboard leadership regarding dry dock enhancement work.
- Coordinate with ship's leadership for feedback on project delivery and ongoing support.
- Collaborate with senior management for technical support, labor, scope coordination, and warranty issues.
- Coordinate with DCL Purchasing and internal partners for owner-supplied equipment and materials.
- Negotiate contract selections balancing quality and cost considerations.
- Manage project material and labor costs to ensure projects stay within budget and schedule.
- Oversee quality assurance throughout design, installation, and completion phases, providing feedback to vendors and consultants.
- Verify all safety implications are considered and vendor safety standards met.
- Provide regular updates and reports on projects.
- Ensure subcontractors provide necessary safety certifications, drawings, and manuals.
- Uphold safety management responsibilities under the Safety Management System (SMS).
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Higher education in maritime engineering, design, project or facilities management, or equivalent experience.
- Extensive maritime industry experience, especially with passenger vessels.
- Project management experience, preferably with formal qualifications.
- Experience with budgeting and financial responsibilities.
- Dry dock experience is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards for cruise ship interiors.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Willingness and ability to travel and work on-site during dry-docks.
