Job Summary:

About the Role & Team

Under the oversight of the Dry Dock Interiors Manager, you will manage the execution of approved dry dock scope of work for fleet interiors enhancement projects during the dry-docking period.

You will join a dynamic team dedicated to enhancing our fleet's interiors. Our team collaborates with departments like hotel operations, marine and technical operations, and environmental compliance to ensure successful project execution, creating magical experiences for our guests.

We prioritize quality, safety, and creativity. As a key team member, you'll work with industry professionals and contribute to the fleet's interior modernization.

This role is based in Disney Cruise Line’s London Hammersmith office and involves approximately 3 months of global travel per year, including full presence during dry dock periods.

What You Will Do

  • Develop, plan, and execute interior enhancement projects during dry-docking
  • Write detailed scopes of work and technical specifications
  • Provide necessary documentation, including technical specs for project delivery
  • Produce technical product specifications and consult on regulatory compliance and industry standards
  • Evaluate vendor proposals and provide recommendations to senior leadership
  • Research new ideas, products, and regulatory changes for compliance
  • Maintain updated documentation within project management systems (AMOS)
  • Coordinate with operational partners for work planning
  • Partner with shipyards, Walt Disney Imagineering, vendors, and regulatory bodies
  • Manage consulting team members on specific project areas
  • Act as primary contact for shipboard leadership during dry-dock projects
  • Gather feedback from ship's leadership and coordinate support
  • Coordinate with shipboard senior management on technical support and warranty issues

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Higher education in Maritime Engineering, Design, Project or Facilities Management, or equivalent experience
  • Experience in the maritime industry, especially with passenger vessels
  • Project management experience, preferably with formal qualifications
  • Budget management experience
  • Dry dock experience preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects under pressure
  • Proficiency with project management tools
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards for cruise ship interiors
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to travel and work on-site during dry-docks
