Job summary

HolAgri Limited is seeking an energetic Dry Bulk Vessel Operator to manage day-to-day commercial operations of chartered vessels. You will work closely with Chartering, Finance, Legal and Insurance teams to fulfill Charter Party requirements.

A minimum of five years in dry bulk shipping is preferred, with potential seagoing experience and grain familiarity. The role requires strong organizational skills, fluent English, and full right to work in the UK.

Qualifications

• Minimum degree (with maritime preferred).
• Seagoing experience will be an advantage (preferred).
• Minimum 5 years' relevant experience in dry bulk shipping industry.
• Grain experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of bulk shipping operations.
• Strong understanding of laytime calculations.
• Strong organisation skills with ability to apply reasoning and judgment on critical issues.
• Full competency in Office 365 applications.
• Fluent in English (written and verbal).
• Have the full right to work in the UK or from Dubai (Remotely).

Responsibilities

• Managing voyages to maximize profit and ensure compliance with contracts and commercial strategy.
• Maintain close communication with Brokers, Owners, Charterers, Ship masters, Agents, etc.
• Monitor vessel movements for bunker planning and coordination with agents, obtaining necessary documentation.
• Coordinate with Legal and Insurance teams to minimize risk and manage disputes and claims.
• Issue / check Letters of Indemnities in a timely manner.

Job description

We are looking to hire an energetic and driven Dry Bulk Vessel Operator to join our team. You will play a pivotal role in managing the day-to-day commercial operations of the chartered vessels and ensuring the requirements of the Charter Parties are fulfilled. This role requires close co-operation with various departments including but not limited to Chartering, Finance, Legal and Insurance. The ideal candidate would have at least 5 years of experience working as a dry bulk vessel operator.

Responsibilities

• Managing and ensuring that the voyages are performed in a compliance with the relevant contracts with due consideration to the commercial strategy. Being responsible for maximising profit for each voyage;
• Maintaining close communication with all stakeholders of the voyage, including Brokers, Owners, Charterers, Ship masters, Agents etc;
• Monitoring of vessel movements for executing of activities including bunker planning, appointment & coordination with agents and obtaining necessary documentations;
• Coordinating with the Legal and Insurance team to minimize risk and exposure. Ensuring that disputes and claims are settled in a timely and efficient manner;
• Timely issuance / checking of Letter of Indemnities.
