Job summary
ABB UK is seeking a Drives and PLC Technical and Application Support Engineer to provide expert technical support to partners, customers and the sales organisation. You will adapt the drives portfolio to meet customer applications and deliver high-quality technical service within the UK drives business.
Your role includes product demonstrations, on-site support, and training delivery, working with drives factories and OEM hubs. A full UK driving licence is required.
Qualifications
- Experience in technical and application support for OEM markets and customer applications.
- Strong understanding of drives and PLC systems.
- Experience with motion control and servo technologies is preferable.
- Ability to communicate across local business, factory teams, and support functions.
- UK driving licence holder.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical and application support to partners, customers, and colleagues on ABB drives portfolio.
- Display urgency in handling customer enquiries and delivering technical support.
- Contribute to delivering the most technically appropriate and value-added solutions.
- Collaborate with drives factories, OEM hubs, and support functions.
- Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase ABB drives.
- Provide project, on-site support, training, and maintenance assistance.
