Job summary

Extra Recruitment are recruiting for a Drivers Mate for our client based in Stoke (ST4). You will join a delivery team, assisting van drivers by carrying furniture and white goods to rooms of choice and confirming on-route delivery times to customers.

Shifts start around 6:00am or 10:00am and can stretch up to 12 hours. Weekend work is required on occasion, with weekly pay and employed status as benefits.

Qualifications

• Physically fit as handling heavy goods.
• Good customer service.
• Speak fluent English.
• Be able to work shifts starting at 6am or 10am, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Deliver furniture and white goods with the van to customers' rooms of choice.
• Inform customers of accurate delivery times while en route to their home.
• Assist the driver with loading and unloading the van.

Details of a Drivers Mate

• Stoke (ST4)
• Working hours 06:00am or 10:00am starts (up to 12 hours a day)
• Must be willing to work weekends on occasion
• £13.05 p/h
• Please note you do need to be flexible for all dates and need to be available for Saturdays & Sundays.

Role of a Drivers Mate

• Day to day duties include going out with the van drivers to customers' homes and delivering furniture and white goods to the room of choice.
• Your role will be contacting the customer on route to their home to inform them of accurate delivery time.
• Assisting the driver with loading and unloading the van.

Requirements of a Drivers Mate

• Physically fit as handling heavy goods
• Good customer service
• Speak fluent English
• Be able to work any shifts from 6am starts and 10am starts , any days of the week, including weekends.
