Extra Recruitment are recruiting for a Drivers Mate for our client based in Stoke (ST4). The role involves assisting with deliveries of furniture and white goods, loading and unloading, and ensuring customers are informed of delivery times.

Shifts typically start at 06:00 or 10:00, up to 12 hours a day, with occasional weekend work. The role offers weekly pay, pension scheme, and employed status.

• Physically fit due to heavy goods handling.

Responsibilities

• Go out with the van drivers to customers’ homes to deliver furniture and white goods to the room of choice.
• Inform customers of accurate delivery times on route to their home.
• Assist the driver with loading and unloading the van.

Extra Recruitment are recruiting for a Drivers Mate for our client based in Stoke (ST4).

Details of a Drivers Mate

• Stoke (ST4)
• Working hours 06:00am or 10:00am starts (up to 12 hours a day)
• Must be willing to work weekends on occasion
• £13.05 p/h
• Please note you do need to be flexible for all dates and need to be available for Saturdays & Sundays.

Role of a Drivers Mate

• Day to day duties include going out with the van drivers to customers’ homes and delivering furniture and white goods to the room of choice.
• Your role will be contacting the customer on route to their home to inform them of accurate delivery time.
• Assisting the driver with loading and unloading the van.

Requirements of a Drivers Mate

• Physically fit as handling heavy goods
• Good customer service
• Speak fluent English
• Be able to work any shifts from 6am starts and 10am starts , any days of the week, including weekends.
